How to Relax at the Office

Let’s be honest: The workplace isn’t the easiest place to relax. You have to deal with sometimes-nasty coworkers, demanding bosses, strict deadlines, and a myriad of other frustrating situations. All of this combines to lead you to a stressful state of being. But get ready to say goodbye to stress and relax. Check out the following three ways that you can kick back and get some relaxation time at the office.

1. Invest in an ergonomic chair

Did you know that the wrong office chair can lead to tons of neck and back pain in your future? If you’re like the majority of people and spend the majority of your day in front of the computer, you want to make sure that you’re sitting in a comfortable, ergonomic chair that will help to support your back and relax your body.

2. Use aromatherapy to relax your senses

By keeping a lavender mist spray bottle near your desk, you can give yourself a little spritz when you feel yourself starting to stress out. To make the mist mixture, fill the bottle with eight to ten tablespoons of cool water, add four to six drops of lavender oil, and shake thoroughly. Spritz once, take a deep breath, and get ready to tackle your workday in a relaxed state.

3. Fix some ginseng tea

If you find that sometime in the afternoon you hit your wall and become sleepy and fatigued, ginseng tea is just what you need to snap yourself out of it. Make a cup of ginseng tea and add a few drops of pure ginseng to give yourself an extra kick. Add some honey and enjoy.

These are just three ways that you can find relaxation at your office. What are your favorite ways to kick back and relax during business hours?
